Starting the Fall Thinning Season
Fall through Winter is a busy time for forestry work in the Eastern Cascades. Thinning and limbing trees in the fall and winter, when the trees are dormant, helps to mitigate the spread of pest and diseases and facilitate the quick recovery of trees.
Lindsay and I are currently doing this forestry work for tree stand health and forest fire mitigation in part of Herland Forest. As this work develops you will be seeing more pictures and article about the progress we are making.
Sincerely,
Andrew Schreiber
President of Herland Forest
